A workshop on Scientific Writing was held at SETEC on Thursday 25th April 2013 Chaired by Prof Fahal. It was attended by 15 students The second part of the workshop will be held on 2nd May 2013 Will be the host of the supplementary examinations for Year 6 Medical Students, Faculty of M EDICINE, and University of Khartoum starting 12-15 May 2013 Each department is allocated a full day for the exams Academic Activities The Saudi Medical Specialty Board delegation will pay a visit to SETEC; selected departments at Soba University Hospital as well as Khartoum Teaching Hospital on Wednesday 22May 2013

This hospital laws established in 1975 as the main training hub for the medical students, Post-graduate students; Nursing College students; Medical Laboratory Sciences students; and other allied health professions students.
Aims & Objectives:
 Provision of high- calibre medical services, within reasonable resources and conducive enviroment
 To be at the forefront of medical care in the country
 To develop and promote the skills of its staff through continuing professional development.
 To promote research and development in the medical field
 Training of medical students and other allied health profession students

Blood BANK: started work in 1977 under supervision of Prof.Awad OmerAND Prof.Mirghani Ali from clinical pathology department.
Lead Clinician: Dr Abdelghafour M Sadiq, MD
The blood bank provides all the necessary components of blood to patients in need, whether electively or for emergency situations. This includes:
Whole blood (this almost fresh);as for neonatal transfusion or in renal transplant surgery .
Packed Red Cells
Platelets
Cryoprecipitate (for hemophilic patients or for fibrogen replacement).
Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP)
Coagulation factors (most supplied as part of fresh frozen plasma).
